The Friendly Canada Jay - Mountain Escape Project #9

The larger animals get the attention, but the smaller types often provide a bit of fun as well.  On the last RMNP visit, some curious and hungry Canada Jays were closely following us on the Bierstadt Lake Trail (a short and steep trail leading to a hidden lake in a beautiful evergreen forest).   Kids and adults with a good imagination can have a lot of fun when small creatures take a particular interest and follow for a long time.  We almost had them landing on our hand (and no, we don’t feed the wildlife).  A great memory and yet another trail to keep in mind once this quarantine ends.  Until that time, continued prayers and support to all those fighting this COVID-19 battle.
