Bighorn Rams in RMNP

Some estimates put the bighorn sheep population around 400 in the Rocky Mountain National Park area.  Extreme luck last week brought us to find the incredible rams high up on Trail Ridge Road, enjoying the alpine views of RMNP.  

Those horns can weigh up to 30 pounds.  I can't wait to return some fall and finally witness the rams battling with those horns for the females (ewes).
